I Don’t Know Everything (and I’m cool with that)
This weekend I shared a post titled, the 7C Grid for Potential Church Leaders. When I share something like that, or 101 Nuggets For Church Planters, I hesitate before publishing it because I don’t want to come across as a know-it-all. I can just hear a pastor out there somewhere saying, “This guy started his church a few months ago and suddenly he’s telling me how to do things.”
I share things like this not because I’ve got it all figured out, but to flesh out ideas, pass on what I’m learning, and perhaps start a conversation. At the same time, there are things I will write (or teach) with authority that Scripture is clear about. But there’s a big difference between authority and arrogance, and that’s a line I hope I’m not crossing.
Just know this: I don’t know everything; I have more questions than answers; I’m still a man in progress. But I hope this site will become a destination to explore various topics and learn from one another along the way.
That’s why it’s called Thinking in Progress.
